The fourth annual ECS Good Friends luncheon for women from across the Episcopal Diocese of Pennsylvania brought together nearly 200 women for an afternoon of faith and fellowship. The goal of the event is to raise awareness of the vital work of Episcopal Community Services and the financial needs of the agency.

Cynthia Trago, director of the Children and Family Services department at ECS, provided a thorough introduction of the ECS FAST Housing program. The program is one of a handful in Philadelphia to implement a "housing first" approach to serving families who have experienced long or multiple stays in homeless shelters.

Jacquie Lewis and Ginny Williams, co-chairs of the ECS Good Friends luncheon, presented the Inspiration Award to Janice Boyer, a participant in the ECS FAST Housing program. Case Manager Yavette Lowry Mond shared several moving stories of Boyer's courageous journey to self-sufficiency.
