In-Kind Support and Projects

The people we serve have a variety of needs as they move toward independence including household supplies, clothing and supplies for infants. Please let us know if you have a service project in mind that matches a need for the people we serve.

There are a variety of needs as people move from homelessness toward independence including household supplies, clothing and supplies for infants. ECS does not have a large space to store items, so please contact us before starting any collections. We will then be able to determine whether or not your drive matches a current need for the people we serve.

In the past, individuals and organizations have donated or participated in gathering the following items:

  • COMFORTERS
  • DIAPERS AND FORMULA
  • LAUNDRY BASKETS: Fill a large plastic one with bed and bath linens to include a set of towels for 4 family members, bath mat/rug, 1 queen set sheets, 2 twin sets (boy and girl), laundry detergent, dryer sheets
  • HOUSEWARMING BASKETS: Fill a large plastic-lidded tub with needed household items; the tub when emptied will provide needed storage space in the household. Include flatware for 8, set of dishes for 8, glassware for 4 and plastic tumblers for 4, cooking pots and pans, kitchen utensils such as spatulas and mixing spoons, measuring spoons & cups, spatulas, and dishtowels
  • BUCKET BRIGADE: Fill a one-gallon plastic bucket with household cleansers, such as Comet, Mr. Clean, Fantastic, Windex, household disinfectant, & a dustpan w/ brush, cleaning cloths, sponges, roll of paper towels, and broom and mop.
