Director of Development

 ECS (Episcopal Community Services) has been helping individuals and families with multiple needs overcome the impact of poverty since 1870. We currently have an extraordinary opportunity for an experienced development and fundraising professional with a proven record of success. ECS is seeking a Director of Development to plan and direct all fundraising, communications and public relations efforts to support our $10 million annual budget. Department responsibilities include annual giving, foundation support, major gifts, planned giving, capital/endowment initiatives, special events, and public relations.  Reports to the Executive Director, manages a staff of 7, serves on the senior management team, and provides staff support to the Development Committee of the Board.

Qualifications: Bachelors degree (Masters preferred).  Minimum of 5 years broad based development experience.  Planned giving and major gifts experience required.  Must have significant supervisory experience and strong management skills.  Requires demonstrated ability to relate well with Board, major donors, and senior-level staff.  Knowledge of the Episcopal Church in the Diocese of Pennsylvania desirable.
